CLEAR RULES FOR BUYING FROM QUICZY

Terms & Conditions

Plain-language terms for using the website and buying products from Quiczy’s growing online catalogue.

Effective date: 20 July 2026

These terms apply to the use of quiczy.co.za and purchases from Quiczy (Pty) Ltd (“Quiczy”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They must be read with our Returns, Warranty & Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

1. About Quiczy

Quiczy is a South African ecommerce business and the customer-facing seller for orders accepted through this website. Products may be fulfilled with the assistance of authorised distributors and service providers, while Quiczy remains responsible for its obligations to customers.

2. Using the website

You may browse and buy for lawful purposes. You must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape or commercially exploit content without permission, misuse pricing or product information, or infringe another person’s rights.

You are responsible for checking that details submitted are accurate. Checkout will allow you to review an order and correct mistakes before completing it.

3. Product information and suitability

We take reasonable care to keep product names, descriptions, images, prices, dimensions, specifications and stock information accurate. Distributor information and catalogues may contain errors or update after a listing is published. If a material error is identified, we will explain it and provide lawful options before fulfilment.

Images are illustrative unless stated otherwise. Packaging, branding or minor appearance may change, but we will not knowingly substitute a materially different product without agreement. Contact us before ordering if a dimension, colour, specification, compatibility requirement or deadline is critical.

4. Prices and promotions

Prices are displayed in South African rand. The final product and delivery total will be shown during checkout or confirmed in writing before acceptance. Quiczy will not represent an amount as VAT or issue a VAT invoice unless Quiczy is registered for VAT and the website has been updated accordingly.

Promotional and bulk prices may be limited by time, quantity or stock. We may correct an obvious pricing, calculation or listing error before accepting an order. If an error affects an amount already paid, we will offer the lawful available options, which may include the corrected transaction, an agreed alternative or a refund.

5. Stock and order acceptance

Adding an item to a cart or receiving an automated order-received message does not reserve stock or mean the order has been finally accepted. An order becomes binding when Quiczy expressly accepts it after checking stock, payment and fulfilment, or when the goods are dispatched.

Before acceptance, we may decline an order where stock is unavailable, a material listing error exists, payment has not cleared, delivery cannot reasonably be completed, legal or supplier restrictions apply, or the transaction appears fraudulent. If an order cannot be accepted after payment, the affected amount will be refunded without an administration deduction.

6. Payment and fraud prevention

Orders are processed after cleared payment. Available payment methods are the secure options displayed at checkout. Payment providers process payment information under their own systems and terms.

Do not send card details, passwords or one-time PINs by email, messaging service or contact form. We may perform reasonable verification and fraud checks and may place an order on hold while verification is completed.

7. Delivery

Quiczy delivers to valid street addresses in South Africa. Standard delivery costs R149 per order and is free when the qualifying order amount is R1,500 or more. Customer collection and international delivery are not currently available. Estimates, tracking, damaged-delivery reporting and failed-delivery rules are in our Shipping Policy.

Delivery dates are estimates unless a firm date is expressly confirmed in writing. Risk passes on delivery to the nominated address, subject to applicable law. Ownership passes after full payment.

8. Cancellations and cooling-off rights

Contact us as soon as possible to cancel. If the order has not been dispatched or committed as a lawful non-cancellable special order, we will confirm the cancellation and refund due. If dispatched, the applicable return process applies.

Where section 44 of ECTA applies, a consumer may cancel without reason and without penalty within seven days after receiving the goods, may be responsible only for the direct return cost, and must receive any required refund within 30 days after cancellation. Statutory exclusions may apply to certain personalised, customised, non-returnable-by-nature, perishable or unsealed software products.

9. Returns, faulty goods and refunds

Returns, incorrect deliveries, transit damage, inspections, refunds and warranty claims are handled under our Returns, Warranty & Refunds Policy.

Where section 56 of the CPA applies and goods fail statutory quality standards within six months after delivery, the consumer may return them without penalty and at the supplier’s risk and expense and may direct repair, replacement or refund, subject to the CPA.

10. Additional product warranties

Any warranty beyond statutory rights is product-specific and may be provided by the manufacturer, distributor or another authorised warranty provider. Its period and conditions must appear on the product page, invoice, packaging or manufacturer documentation. Quiczy does not promise a blanket commercial warranty where no additional period is stated.

11. Accounts and communications

Customers are responsible for keeping account login details confidential and notifying Quiczy promptly of suspected unauthorised use. Essential order, payment, delivery, security, return and service communications may be sent using the supplied contact information.

Marketing is separate from essential communications and will be sent only as permitted by law, with a reasonable opt-out method.

12. Privacy and security

Our Privacy Policy explains personal-information processing and necessary sharing with authorised fulfilment, payment, delivery, hosting and technology service providers.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service is completely secure or uninterrupted. Contact us promptly if you believe order or account information has been compromised.

13. Website and third-party services

The website may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, hosting, security, connectivity or technical issues. Third-party links and services are controlled by their providers. Supplier, courier and payment-provider rules do not override statutory consumer rights or Quiczy’s legal obligations.

14. Intellectual property

The Quiczy name, original website text, design and graphics are owned by or licensed to Quiczy unless stated otherwise. Manufacturer and supplier names, product images and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

15. Liability and events outside control

To the extent permitted by law, Quiczy is not liable for indirect or consequential business loss caused by website interruption, supplier or courier delay, stock shortage, incorrect customer selection, misuse or use outside specifications. This does not exclude liability or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events reasonably beyond its control. The affected party must act reasonably to reduce the effect. This does not remove statutory cancellation or refund rights.

16. Complaints and governing law

These terms are governed by South African law. Please contact Quiczy first so we can try to resolve a complaint. Nothing prevents a consumer from approaching a competent consumer authority, applicable ombud or South African court.

We may update these terms when the business, website or law changes. The version applying to an order is the version available when that order is placed, unless a later change is legally required or benefits the customer.
